Wolverine Low Voltage is primarily a low voltage business. We do not have any full-time electricians on our team and we’d be happy to partner with certified electricians! Some of our projects will have electrical work in the scope, which requires us to find assistance on a need basis or pass on the project altogether. By expressing interest in working with us, you can help us more effectively handle larger projects!

Open Positions

We are currently looking for low voltage professionals with strong experience in the field to join our team. This job will include commuting to job sites to perform low voltage services and installations.

Responsibilities:
– Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including security alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems.
– Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with low voltage systems.
– Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and operation of systems.
– Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects in a timely manner.
– Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about low voltage systems
– Keep accurate records of work performed, including documenting system configurations and changes

Skills:
– Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, including electrical wiring and cabling
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, scopes of work, and technical manuals
– Experience with computer networking, audio visual systems, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
– Familiarity with most low voltage systems including but not limited to – data networks, fire alarm, access control, automation and more.
– Ability to detect and resolve issues with low voltage systems through diagnostic testing
– Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address technical problems
– Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of low voltage systems

Qualifications
– Experience in CCTV, fire alarm, and security system installation and maintenance
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics for low voltage systems
– Strong background in field service and system design
– Knowledge of computer hardware and networking
– Familiarity with hand tools and power tools for installation and troubleshooting
– Previous experience in alarm system sales or service technician roles is a plus
– Understanding of NEC codes and regulations
– Ability to work in construction environments and collaborate with other trades
– Certification in low voltage systems or related field is preferred
